So here we are still on a huge high as we celebrate the 21st year of Elite Helicopters! It’s been a roller coaster ride at times to say the least, but still a fabulous achievement and we fully intend on making this celebratory year one to remember.

Below is the preliminary list of trips we’d like to organise for you this year. Please note, the trips are open to our students and self fly hire pilots.

Take a look below and let us know if you’d like to join in, develop your flying skills and have a great time with other pilots:

Underwater Escape Training – Andark

Monday 27 March

It’s never a bad thing to have carried out training in a controlled environment, surrounded by experts. This training covers helicopter escape and life raft drills. Weather permitting you can fly over to their site in Swanwick, otherwise it is not too far to drive.

Lunch Club Fly out with a Difference

Sunday 23 April

Haynes Motor Museum – home of the famous Haynes Car Manuals. I’m sure this would be a great day out for those interested in the motor industry and historic cars. Located just north of Yeovil, so a good day out.

Mountain Flying

Friday 19 – Sunday 21 May

Always a favourite with our pilots is the opportunity to fly cross-country to Wales. Ideally staying for 2 nights and estimated flight time on the course would ideally be 5 hours, plus the positioning up to base. A great opportunity to get away from the south coast and experience a more remote area to fly in!

Weston-Super-Mare – Heli Days Fly In

Sat 17 or Sun 18 June

Get a close up look at different helicopters landing on the beach on Weston-super-Mare sea front as part of Weston Air Festival and Armed Forces Day. A mix of spectacular aerobatic displays and armed forces celebrations to entertain the whole family.

Lunch Club Fly Out – Duxford Air Museum

Sunday 23 July

This visit could incorporate a Heli Routes flight from either Goodwood or Fairoaks up to Duxford. A visit around the museum, lunch, and then a return flight back through London.

As ever the team are open to ideas, so just let us know if there is something in particular that you would like us to organise. Perhaps a trip over the Channel to Le Touquet or indeed into Paris Heliport? This could be done as a day return, but to allow time in the city it would probably be best to book it as an overnight trip!

We will share more dates with you throughout the year, but in the meantime if you are interested in coming along on any of the above trips please do let us know as soon as possible [email protected]
