At Elite Helicopters we have an operations team dedicated to providing you with a First Class Service that will ensure that your Helicopter Transport will be ready and waiting for you at the allocated time available for that special photo opportunity on your arrival or prior to your departure. We will arrive at the chosen venue and shut down the Helicopter’s engine and stop the rotor blades in plenty of time to prepare for you to have your photographer get a series of pictures around the aircraft prior to your departure. If you want you can arrange for more photographs on arrival at your destination, where we will again stop the aircraft for this purpose. Most Wedding flights we undertake are short hops between two venues, however with a one hour minimum charge applied for the hire of the helicopter you will undoubtedly want to receive value for money and therefore we will invite you to utilise any excess flight time to have a look around the local area prior to arrival at your final destination. We will work out in advance for you the balance of flight time available and advise you of this along with points of interest that you may like to over-fly. Please do however note that the 1 hour minimum does include the positioning legs to and from our base airfield. We will provide all of the above incorporating a full one hour of flight time (including positioning) at a fixed rate. Any landing fees charged at any of the landing sites utilised will be additional costs. It is well worth establishing the cost of any landing fees in advance. We find that it is often better if the client approaches the venue to gain permission for landing, as they will often waive any fees they may normally charge, whereas if approached by the Helicopter operator, fees will normally be applied. Once you have initial landing permission Elite Helicopters will take over from you and finalise the arrangements. We will have to ensure that the landing site is suitable and meets Civil Aviation Authority requirements. If not then we will endeavour to find an alternative for you and any expenses incurred in this respect would be charged additionally. Our terms are that a 25% deposit will secure the booking with the balance due 7 days before the date of the flight. We do recommend that you have a ‘Back Up Plan’ for transport just in case we are unable to fly due to inclement weather conditions. In this event you would receive a full refund of all monies paid. The Helicopter used for our Wedding Flights is a Bell JetRanger which has a seating capacity for up to four passengers, however if the Bride is going to be flying and is in full Wedding Regalia then we recommend that, for comfort, only two persons occupy the rear seat with one further passenger in the front seat alongside the pilot. We can arrange for Champagne, Cards, Gifts etc to be placed in the Helicopter ready for the passengers when they arrive.
