Perhaps it is a childhood ambition, or maybe you want to take the first steps to becoming a commercial helicopter pilot? Whatever your motivation, we can teach you to fly a helicopter and obtain your PPL(H).

Using the Robinson R22, R44 or the Bell Jet Ranger, we will take you through the full syllabus until you reach the standard required to achieve your PPL(H). You must fly a minimum of 45 hours (although most students take slightly longer) and sit seven multiple-choice theoretical examinations (which are undertaken at intervals throughout the course), a radiotelephony practical exam and a final flight skills test with an examiner.

You will receive a ground briefing before and after each flight to explain and de-brief on the air exercise flown during that specific lesson.

The course is structured for you personally and can be spread over a period of several months or scheduled as an intensive programme, enabling you to achieve your licence in a matter of weeks.
