One of the largest events in the international golfing calendar, the Ryder Cup will take place in Wales in October 2010 at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport. Golfers from both sides of the Atlantic will congregate in South Wales, together with large numbers of spectators. Traffic in the area will be strictly controlled, with access to the site only permitted for passengers on Park and Ride services – unless you arrive by helicopter. A special heliport will be operated for the duration of the event, with courtesy transport to the golf course and spectator areas.
