A helicopter trial lesson is a very exciting experience. The lesson starts with a briefing giving an introduction to helicopters and the effects of the controls. You then leave the airfield for open skies, alongside a highly qualified flying instructor.

Once airborne the instructor will invite you to take control. Don't worry though, Elite’s instructors are well versed with this procedure and will take over when required. Before you know it you are flying the helicopter…

On returning to the airfield, the fun really begins as you attempt “The Hover” - the most important and most difficult manoeuver in helicopter flight. Friends can watch the helicopter dance around as you enjoy this most challenging aspect of helicopter piloting.

If you prefer, your flight can be undertaken as a sight seeing trip so you
can simply sit back and enjoy fantastic views of the English countryside.

We offer a range of trial lessons with 30 minute or 1-hour flight durations
and, on certain aircraft, the opportunity for an accompanying passenger to
fly as well.
