On receipt of the Gift Voucher the recipient should contact us direct to book a convenient time for them to visit us at either Goodwood Aerodrome in West Sussex or Denham Aerodrome in Middlesex to take their flight. You are invited to take the controls of a Bell Jet Ranger Helicopter alongside one of our highly qualified and capable flying instructors. You will be introduced to each control individually, prior to your instructor handing over control of the aircraft for you to try and hold a steady hover. This is an extremely challenging and demanding task as you learn to co-ordinate the three main control inputs to make the helicopter hover - Succeed and you will feel that it is one of the most rewarding and satisfying experiences that you have encountered. Throughout your attempt at the Hover Challenge you will be judged and scored on a simple points system. The winner on the day will receive a Hover Challenge trophy to commemorate their achievement.

A Trial Lesson/Air Experience flight in a helicopter is a truly amazing and very exciting experience. Flying in a Robinson R22 or R44 dual-controlled helicopter you take to the sky alongside one of our highly qualified Flying Instructors. The first part of the lesson is an introduction to helicopters and the effects of controls. This is undertaken in the form of a ground briefing prior to the flight. Our budding Biggles then takes to the air, leaving the airfield for the open skies. Once airborne and away from the airfield the Instructor will invite the student to have hands on control of the helicopter. Don't worry, our Instructors are well-conversed with this procedure, and are ready to take over when required. Before you know it the student is flying the helicopter. On returning to the airfield the fun really begins as the student tries to tackle the Hover. This is the most important manoeuvre undertaken in helicopter flight and the most difficult to master. Friends and relatives can watch from the ground as the helicopter dances around the airfield and the student enjoys this most challenging aspect of helicopter flying. If all of the above sounds a little too much for you then you only have to say and your flight will be undertaken as a sightseeing trip and you can simply sit back and enjoy a wonderful birds' eye view of the local area as your instructor talks you through the procedures. On completion of the Trial Lesson/Air Experience Flight the Student will receive a Commemorative Certificate of Flight signed by the Instructor.
