Epsom Derby 2013
Friday 31 May – Saturday 1 June 2013
The Epsom Derby is Britain’s richest horse race. The first race was in 1779, and is now one of the five Classic race meetings. It is a major highlight of the social calendar – a popular event which attracts huge crowds. The racecourse has its own dedicated heliport right on the top of the Downs, with courtesy transport to the heart of the action.
The Epsom Derby Festival is run over two days, with Ladies Day on Friday 31 May and Derby Day on Saturday 1 June.
Elite Helicopters is offering a bespoke helicopter charter service to the event. Using an AS350 Squirrel, which can carry up to five passengers in comfort, a flight from London (Battersea) Heliport to Epsom will take just 20 minutes. The same aircraft would get you from Cardiff to Epsom in just an hour, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the racing and less time queuing to get out of the car park!
Once again, Elite Helicopters will be offering helicopter pleasure flights from the Epsom Racecourse Heliport – see the racecourse with a Bird’s Eye View! Tickets will be available for purchase on the day, or in advance from our Elite Helicopter Flights online shop.
