Corporate Flying Days

The Elite Helicopters Team have been organising Corporate Flying Days for over 15 years, and we pride ourselves on the number of satisfied customers that we have entertained over this period of time.

We also offer the added facility of in-house catering. This can range from a simple lunchtime finger buffet through to the very friendly atmosphere of an end of day barbecue. We have excellent facilities, catering to a very high standard.

Regarding your Flying Day, clients have the opportunity to pilot a Bell Jet Ranger, Turbine Jet Engine Helicopter during either a 20 minute or 30 minute trial lesson, during this time they will try to master the hover and other manoeuvres undertaken in helicopter flight, or they can simply sit back and enjoy the wonderful birds eye view offered in helicopter flying. All this is under the expert tuition of our flying instructors. Additionally your clients can pilot a light aircraft for either a 20 minute or 30 minute duration.

Another alternative to the Helicopter Trial Lesson is the Helicopter Hover Challenge. The student is introduced to three basic controls of the helicopter by the instructor and talked through the start up and take off procedures. Once airborne the instructor will establish a steady hover and instruct the student in each input required to maintain the hover. When the instructor feels that the student is ready he will invite the student to take one of the controls at a time and master the individual input until eventually all three are being controlled simultaneously by the student. The object of the challenge is to hold a steady hover for as long as possible. Not an easy task but a very exhilarating challenge and very entertaining for those watching from a safe distance.

Your guests can don the Biggles helmet and take a trip in a vintage Tiger Moth, or if they feel really brave they can sample aerobatics flying and a loop- the -loop, in a Pitts Special. We also offer aerial treasure hunts in our Bell 206 Jet Ranger Helicopters. The Treasure Hunt can be of 30 minutes or 1-hour duration, with participants being grouped into teams of 4 people, a team leader is then chosen, given an Ordnance Survey Map of the area and then an appropriate set of clues.  The teams then have a 10 minute period in which to familiarise themselves with the map, interpret the clues and make any notes.  Once on board the helicopter it is up to the team to direct the pilot on the route to be followed and solve/find the answers to the clues, most of which become more apparent once over the designated area or site.  The teams are scored on the results and a prize awarded to the highest scoring group.

Your guests will be split into teams at the beginning of the day adding an element of competition to the day. Each team member will be scored on each activity and the winning team will be awarded trophies at the end of the day. Additionally each aviator will be given a commemorative flight certificate.
